Enameled Copper is a soft copper wire with a plastic enameled coating. This coating is quite durable and doesn't seem to flake or peel. Abuse or rough wearing with show damage to the colour. Our supplier suggests a fair life span to be 6 months of wear. You may damage the odd ring while weaving if your pliers slip, or if you squeeze too hard. The wire does tend to be slippery in your pliers, so Tool Magic plier dip helps! This is great for jewelry, but the rings need to be quite small to compensate for the softness. The colours are quite amazing!
We currently have two different types of Enameled Copper Wire. Regular and Silvered. The Silvered wire has an extra coating of Silver under the colour so they are brighter as well as softer colours.
You may find that there is a slight difference in shade of colour between each batch of wire. I've been told it is similar to buying wool... Each dye lot is slightly different. We'll do our best to keep the colours as constant as we can, but I thought it was important to let you know of the possibility of slight changes.
We do Rainbow mixes available in all sizes.. If you request certain colours to be mixed in sizes we don't stock in Rainbow we can't return the rings once they are mixed. We don't have time to sort colours. Thanks!
*** New policy*** We do our best not to impose minimum order requirements, but have had a lot of orders lately for very small amounts of EVERY colour, and it takes a VERY long time to weigh, bag, and label individually. We are now implementing a minimum of 1/2 oz of each colour if you are ordering a bunch of different colours. If you want less than 1/2 oz, please consider a mix... It's easier to bag 6 colours in 0.2 oz increments together than to have to seperately bag and label each colour. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!

We are also starting to stock 18g wire Rings. Our 18g is AWG so .040mm and also called 19g SWG. So this means the wire is SLIGHTLY thinner than 18g in other metals
